Paella Rice is an aromatic combination of traditional Calasparra rice blended with classic seasonings, creating a quick and convenient shortcut to preparing authentic paella. Spanish short-grain rice is the most commonly used paella rice because of its superior ability to absorb liquids up to 3 times its volume.

Spanish Calasparra rice is also ideal for paella because of its leisurely maturing process , which is 30% slower than other kinds of rice. Harvested since the 14th century, this rice and its extended growing cycle produces exceptionally dehydrated kernels that are ready to absorb even more of the tasty sauces and flavors of paella broth.

Pure saffron, an essential paella spice with exceptional, unique flavor, lends the rice its wonderful golden yellow hue, while other premium herbs, spices and aromatics give the rice its classic flavor, including garlic, onion, red chile flakes, paprika and turmeric.


  • Heat 2 tablespoons olive oil in heavy pan over medium heat.  

  • Add 1 cup Paella Rice and stir for 2 minutes.  

  • Add 3-1/2 cups water or stock and bring to a boil, stirring once.  

  • Reduce heat to low and cook, covered, until thin crust forms on bottom of pan, about 20 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
