Our Organic Mediterranean Pilaf is a unique blend of seasoned rice and grains, crafted to evoke the warm, herbaceous flavors of the Mediterranean. With a base of delicate long-grain white rice, red and white quinoa, and millet, this flavorful pilaf is seasoned with aromatic red bell peppers, onions, garlic, and a medley of herbs and spices. 

Pilafs, also called “pilau,” are simply seasoned rice dishes that originated in the Near East. Pilafs can be served as a main dish or a side dish, and often contain chopped vegetables, meat, poultry, or seafood. These rice dishes are a traditional component of many cuisines across Europe and Asia, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Indian peninsula.

BASIC PREP

  • Combine 1 cup Mediterranean Pilaf with 2 cups water and 1 tablespoon olive oil or  

  • butter in a 2-quart pot.  

  • Bring to a boil over high heat. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 20 minutes.  

  • Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes, covered, before serving.
