Hibiscus Chile Lime Butter with Fresh Radishes

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup fresh whole unsalted butter, room temperature

  • 8 medium sized fresh red or breakfast radishes

  • 2 tablespoons plus 1/2 tablespoon Hibiscus Chile-Lime Salt

  • 1/3 loaf crusty baguette

  • 2 teaspoons fresh chives, minced very fine

Directions

  1.  In a small mixer with paddle attachment, mix the whole unsalted butter with Manitou Hibiscus Chile-Lime Salt on low speed, about 5 minutes or until lightly fluffy and pale.

  2.  Wash and de-stem the radishes, dry on a paper towel, and slice very thinly .

  3. Cut the baguette on a diagonal into 10 to 12 half inch slices, lay out on a tray. Smear each slice of baguette with a generous amount of the salted butter.

  4. Place a generous amount of the thinly sliced radishes over the butter, dividing them evenly among the baguette slices. Garnish with the minced chives. If desired, give an additional light sprinkle of Hibiscus Chile-Lime Salt over each.
