Grilled Sweet Potatoes with Sriracha Honey Butter

Our Sriracha Seasoning makes it simple to add the fiery flavor of Sriracha to melted butter and honey. Simply drizzle over tender grilled sweet potatoes for an easy side that's great any time of year.

Prep time: 10 min | Cook time: 45 min | Serves: 4

  • 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled

  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

  • ¼ Cup unsalted butter

  • 3 Tbsp Sriracha Seasoning Blend

  • 3 Tbsp honey

  • 1 tsp kosher salt

  1. Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium heat.   Cut the peeled sweet potatoes into ¾ inch slices. Toss with 1 Tbsp oil and salt. Wrap in a foil pouch, and cook for 40 to 50 minutes on the grill, until they are soft and cooked through. Carefully open the pouch and remove the sweet potatoes, keep the pouch aside. (They can also be roasted the same way in a 350F oven on a baking sheet).

  2. In a small pot, heat the butter until melted, add Sriracha Seasoning, whisk well, and simmer on grill top for one minute.   Add the honey, and stir well.

Wipe the grill with the remaining one Tbsp oil, and grill the sweet potato slices on each side until nice grill marks are formed, about 2 minutes per side.

  3. Put half of the honey butter into the foil pouch, add the grilled sweet potatoes, and pour the rest of the honey butter over the top.  Carefully seal pouch, and heat on cooler part of the grill for another 5 to 10 minutes.

  4. Open the pouch and serve on a small platter, drizzle all of the melted butter from pouch over the top.
